Lover of the Sun

photo

This is a reproduction of "Lover of the Sun" by Henry Scott Tuke of 1923.  The artist was a native of Cornwall who died in 1929 at the age of seventy-one years. This picture is quite demonstrative of his famous focus. His twin abiding loves were the sea and boys. This caused quite a stir in Victorian and Edwardian England, but he was nonetheless a member of the Royal Academy. This painting was created in the artist's studio in Falmouth.

Sunning on a Rock, Troyi Caperton, 2011

photo

This is a reproduction of “Sunning on a Rock” of 2011. This is an image of the sheer joy of exposing the entire natural self to the cleansing and healing rays of the sun, the parent from which we all descend.  In the wilds of nature we can expose ourselves totally without fear of having others encroach upon our private meditations.
