Boys Bathing of 1912
A reproduction of "Boys Bathing" of 1912 by Henry Scott Tuke. This is a wonderful image of young men cavorting on the coast of the English Channel near Falmouth. The artist was a native of Yorkshire who died in 1929 at the age of seventy-one years. His twin abiding loves were the sea and boys. This caused quite a stir in Victorian and Edwardian England, but he was nonetheless a member of the Royal Academy.

The Bather by Henry Scott Tuke, 1924
A reproduction of "The Bather" of 1925 by Henry Scott Tuke. The artist was a native of York who moved to Falmouth with his family when he was less than two years old. At seventeen he entered the Slade School of Art. When he returned to England from studies in Italy and Paris, he joined the Newlyn School of painters in which he gained lucrative commissions. He entered the Royal Academy has a full member in 1914 and died in March, 1929 in Falmouth leaving over 1300 paintings. His twin abiding loves were the sea and boys. This caused quite a stir in Victorian and Edwardian England, but he was nonetheless a member of the Royal Academy.

Young Man on the Shore of Desolation, Caperton, 2010
This is a reproduction of “Young Man on the Shore of Desolation" of 2011. This is an obviously derivative work inspired by Hipolyte Flandrin's "Young Man by the Sea". There is a universality of the image of a nude man looking out over the sea, that eternal analogy for the network of future events that appear to create the horizon of forever.
